Calne Bike Meet isHeld every year in the heart of Wiltshire, Calne Bike Meet transforms an entire market town into a celebration of all things two-wheeled. Unlike many motorcycle shows that are confined to exhibition halls or race circuits, Calne takes place right on the town's streets, creating a unique atmosphere that has attracted riders from across the UK for more than two decades.
When Is Calne Bike Meet 2026?
Date: Saturday 25th July 2026
Location: Calne Town Centre, Wiltshire (SN11 0EH)
Entry: Completely free for riders and visitors.
The first bikes usually begin arriving from around 8:00am, with live music starting at approximately 10:00am. The event continues throughout the day, with the main activities running until around 6:00pm.
What Can You Expect?
The simple answer? Bikes. Lots of bikes.
From modern superbikes and adventure machines to classic British motorcycles, customs, café racers, scooters and cruisers, you'll find just about every type of motorcycle imaginable lining Calne's streets. Thousands of riders descend on the town, creating one of the largest free motorcycle gatherings in Europe.
Alongside the bikes, you'll find:
Motorcycle clubs and owners' groups,
Trade stalls and motorcycle accessories,
Food and drink vendors,
Charity stands,
Live music throughout the day,
Custom builds and rare machines,
A dedicated ride-out through the Wiltshire countryside later in the afternoon.
What Makes Calne Bike Meet Special?
What sets Calne apart is the atmosphere.
This isn't a ticketed exhibition where you're walking around behind barriers. The whole town becomes the event. Riders park throughout the streets, chat with fellow bikers, browse the stalls, grab some food and spend the day soaking up the atmosphere.
Whether you ride a sports bike, tourer, adventure bike, classic machine or cruiser, nobody really cares what you're riding. It's one of those rare events where the common interest in motorcycles brings everyone together.
Many riders say the variety is one of the biggest attractions. One minute you're admiring a beautifully restored classic, the next you're looking at the latest superbike or a custom build that's unlike anything you've seen before.
More Than Just a Bike Meet
Calne Bike Meet is organised by volunteers and operates as a not-for-profit event. Funds raised help support charities and local causes, making it an event that gives back to both the motorcycling community and the town itself.
It's also a fantastic opportunity for newer riders. If you've recently passed your test, events like this are a great way to meet other riders, see different styles of motorcycles and become part of the wider biking community.
One Split Second's Take
