More Than a Website: Join the One Split Second Community

When we launched One Split Second, the goal wasn't just to build another website filled with statistics or lectures on road safety. We all know the standard government leaflets, they talk at you, not with you. We wanted to create a space that feels like a proper chat at a bike meet: real, respectful, and entirely rider-led.

Because at the end of the day, improving our habits and making calmer choices on UK roads isn't something that happens in isolation. It happens when we share our experiences, our near-misses, and our hard-earned lessons so the next rider doesn't make the same mistake.

To make that happen, we need a living, breathing community. And that’s exactly what we’re building over on Facebook.

Why Join Our Facebook Page & Community?

Our digital space is where the project truly comes alive. It’s a place for UK riders, whether you’re a fresh plate on your first 125cc commute, returning to the saddle after a few years away, or an experienced rider who has seen it all.

By hitting follow, you’re getting:

Real Rider Stories:

Read about those exact "split second" scenarios where an unexpected hazard appeared, a mental lapse caused a close call, or a sharp habit saved the day.

Your Say on Road Culture:

From debating proposed government licence reforms to sharing tips on navigating changing tarmac conditions or managing hot-weather brain fog, we want your voice in the comments.

No Lectures, Just Community:

Swapping advice on kit, filtering safely, or group riding etiquette with mates who actually get why we swing a leg over a bike in the first place.

Let’s Get the Conversation Started

Road safety isn’t about acting like a drill sergeant or riding robotically. It's about looking' out for one another.

Don't let the conversation stop here on the blog. Head over to our Facebook Page, drop a comment, share your tips, and let us know what you're riding this season.

Look out for one another, keep it calm, and enjoy the journey.

Ride safe, The One Split Second Team
