My Journey Through Motorcycling - A One Split Second Story

A Passion That Started Young.

From a very young age, I've always been fascinated by motorcycles. There was just something about them that captured my imagination.

Finally Getting My Licence

Years later, I decided to take my Direct Access course and earn my motorcycle licence. What makes it even funnier is that I wasn't a teenager when I passed—I was 24 years old, married, and already had two children.

After passing, I proudly went to show my parents my new Bike. Dads reaction was great but my Mum's reaction wasn't exactly what I expected. She wasn't happy at all and practically tried to ground me! Looking back now, it still makes me laugh.

Riding Through Everything

Once I got my licence, my bike became my daily transport. I rode through sunshine, rain, freezing temperatures, snow, and ice. Trust me, riding a motorcycle in snow and ice is not something I'd recommend.

When the Passion Faded

Eventually, riding became more of a necessity than a pleasure. The enjoyment disappeared, and I decided to sell the bike and take a break from motorcycling.

Rediscovering the Love of Riding

After some time away, I found myself missing it. The passion slowly returned, and I bought another bike. This time, I wasn't riding because I had to—I was riding because I wanted to.

The Best Head Clearer There Is

Motorcycling became my escape once again. When you're on a bike, there are no distractions. It's just you, the machine, and the road ahead. For me, it's one of the best ways to clear my head and focus on the moment.

The Reality Riders Face

As much as I love riding, I couldn't ignore the headlines:

"Another biker killed."

"Another biker injured."

"Another motorcycle collision."

The stories seemed endless, and it became clear that lives can change in just one split second.

Why We Created One Split Second

Our aim is to promote safer riding, increase awareness, encourage better decision - making, and help riders stay safe on the road. Motorcycling offers freedom, adventure, and enjoyment unlike anything else. But it also demands respect, awareness, and responsibility.

If our message helps even one rider avoid becoming another statistic, then we've achieved something worthwhile.

Remember, everything can change in one split second.

Ride safe. Ady - One Split Second.
